Partner Questions 5/16/19
5/13/19

Today 5/7 (Complete AFTER you complete your online response.)

If there are only 2 or less of you at your table, divide and join another group. Each group needs to design an original teambuilding activity that involves the whole class (ie - don't use Google/etc). Think about the risk involved (will it make people uncomfortable/etc?), the materials needed, the time required and anything other factors. Type out the step by step instructions for your group's activity electronically and email me a copy with all names.
Planning & Implementation Article
Read this article. At a minimum, it will take 7-10 minutes. It talks about strategic planning for businesses but there is definitely a significant amount of crossover to planning a lesson for a classroom. Remaining quiet until everyone in your group is done reading. After everyone in your group is finished reading, (in table groups) each person shares 3-4 of the most important points they read and explain why they are important.

This article is really heavy on the "implementation" side of project planning. So this would be like actually conducting your lesson instead of just planning it.

You now need to work as a group to integrate some of the ideas from the article into your lesson and presentation. Rehearse, practice and rehearse your 20 minute lessons again. Time, be strategic, ask, think. This is what you will do for the rest of class. By the end of class, send me an electronic copy of your lesson plan (one per group).
Lesson Plan Template

Download File

Download this file and create (as a group) a 20 minute lesson that YOUR GROUP will lead in this class on Thursday or Friday. The topic is Project Planning and/or Implementation. Get creative! Your group will be your current table group. Your group will be responsible for teaching about how to effectively plan a project and carry it out. You can do a step by step guide, do's and don't's, examples of good and bad project designs, common mistakes, etc. Your lesson must be unique, interactive and be a full 20 minutes long. Your whole group must be involved in the delivery of the lesson. Complete the Lesson Plan Template as a group and then PRACTICE the delivery of the lesson. You will have today and tomorrow to prepare. You will be graded on the preparation and delivery of your lesson and you will grade the involvement and contributions of all your group members.  You will grade (anonymously) your group partners.
